Packaging/Design

The Sheer Wisdom Lush Lip Oil (2.5 ml / 0.08 fl. oz) comes in a click pen form, which I find very convenient. You twist the bottom clicker to unlock it and then click twice to dispense a good amount at the tip. The tip is made out of the same material as a fuzzy pom pom ball that you would find in craft stores for school projects and it allows you to apply the product quite smoothly. I love the overall design of the lip oils. The black and gold color scheme makes it look rather sophisticated and of quality!

A Closer Look:

Shades/Texture

The lip oil is very thin, yet somewhat creamy at the same time. It's lightweight and very pigmented upon its dispense. It felt comfortable on my lips! As for shades, Cinnamon Spice appeared to be a brighter reddish pink and Dusty Mauve was more of a muted magenta. I personally liked Cinnamon Spice more because it had more of a 'pop' to it.

In Action

Scent
If you take a deep whiff of this lip oil, you'll probably be reminded of crayons because it smells waxy. However, upon application, you'll most likely not even notice it.

Performance
It is exactly what it says it is: a sheer wash of color that simultaneously moisturizes. The colors are extremely sheer, making it more of a subtle gloss than much of a tint, but there are noticeable differences between each color. Since my lips are very sensitive to artificial lipsticks, I was nervous about trying this even though I knew it contains mostly natural ingredients. Luckily, I was able to enjoy this lip product without getting irritated, which is a big plus!

I loved how it wasn't sticky and it kept my lips soft and glossy. I just wish it lasted longer; it lasts 2 hours tops before you feel like you have to reapply. The color also transfers easily so it does not survive meals. However, this stick is quick and easy to reapply so it's not too much of a problem. I also liked how it keeps my lips moisturized long after I've applied it, so I was impressed.

Overall, if you're looking for extremely natural, soft looking pouty lips, this is for you! I just really wish it was more than a sheer wash and lasted longer, but I can't complain too much since this is only a tinted lip oil and it's not supposed to be a full on lip color or stain. It's definitely worth a try!
